    WHAT IS COVERED IN ESI REGISTRATION?

    Safeguard your employees against any mishappenings with ESI registration. Employee State Insurance is a scheme implemented to provide medical assistance or other help to an employee or his/her dependents in case of any unfortunate incident.

    ELIGIBILITY AND BUSINESSES CONSIDERATION IN ESI REGISTRATION?

    As per the law, any organization with ten or more employees earning less than INR 21,000 as a basic salary are eligible for this scheme. It is important to note that businesses like Hospitals, Dispensaries, Schools, CA offices, and shops are excluded from this registration.

    Benefits

    Maternity

    Any pregnant female employee is entitled to a paid leave of 3 months. This leave can be extended by one more month on the certification of the doctor.

    Disability

    In case of permanent disability to earn, an employee is entitled to 90% of his/her wages every month. If the disability is temporary, the Employee is entitled to get 90% of his/her monthly wages until he/she recovers fully.

    Medical Expenses

    Every working Employee and his/her family member is entitled to get all the medical care irrespective of the total cost of treatment. Retired Employee and his/her dependent can also take benefit of this scheme by paying a meager yearly premium of INR 120.

    Shramik Kalyan Yojna

    Any employee, who becomes unemployed due to closure of the factory following any circumstances, is eligible to get an unemployment allowance on the condition that he/she is insured under the scheme for more than 3 years.

    Dependency

    In case an employee dies or becomes permanently disables due to work-related accident, his/her dependents are entitled to the 90% of his/her salary on a monthly basis.

    ► Substitute workers

    ► A person who is on the company’s payroll

    ► Contract workers working under the direct supervision of the employer

    ► Directors of the company
